The round topped brass dial has scroll engraved background with silver chapter ring and chime/silent and Whittington/Cambridge chime subsidiary dials in the arch. The heavily carved oak case has caryatid figures flanking the dial with lions heads above and has a leaf carved cushion shaped top. The single sheet brass dial has scroll engravings to the corners and arch and silvered areas for the chapter ring, seconds, date and strike/silent in the arch. The hands are of unmatched steel and the five pillar movement has anchor escapement and rack strike. It is contained in an oak case with flat topped hood and fluted columns flanking the dial, the trunk has chamfered fluted corners and a long pointed-top trunk door. The five pillar movement has anchor escapement and rack striking but has been converted from bell to gong. The mahogany case has an arched hood and fluted brass reeded columns flanking the dial (one detached). The trunk has fluted and brass quarter columns and the long trunk door has a London edge moulding with cruciform top.
