A mid 19c French mantel clock in rectangular rosewood case with inlaid boxwood foliage to the front face and ebonised mouldings to the plinth. The 3.5in diam white enamel dial has Roman numerals and is signed M & E Levin, Paris as is the movement backplate. The hands are fancy gilt and the white cast bezel is embossed and beaded, The train movement is countwheel striking on a bell and the clock stands 13in tall.

The cushion topped stained walnut case has fluted and canted case corners and a stepped base with brass bracket feet and a brass carrying handle. The silvered arched dial has Roman numerals and pendulum regulation and strike/silent subsidiary dials. The barrelled spring two train movement ting tangs on two gongs. The case has glazed side windows and a metal sound grille to the rear door. Case stands 20in tall overall.

A late 19c German three train Westminster chiming bracket clock by Junghans in round topped stained walnut case with inlaid contrasting designs to front face. The case has a brass edging to the front face and grilled side and rear panels and a stepped base. The round topped brass dial has scroll spandrels and silvered chapter ring and subsidiary dials for chime/silent and pendulum regulation. The barrelled spring three train movement chimes in four straight rods and strikes on a coiled gong. The clock 17.5in tall.

A late 19c French black slate mantel clock, the case having columned niches flanking the dial each containing a bronzed figure in classical dress. Above each niche is a shell design and above the central clock dial a female mask. The 5in diam dial has a gilt chapter ring with black Roman numerals, and the centre of the dial is black with a gilt filigree centre. The case has a presentation plaque dating from 1901. The rectangular French movement is rack striking on a gong, the clock 16in tall.

The circular silvered dial has a circular indented reserves for the painted arabic numerals and an embossed dial centre with beadwork type decoration. A 1960's Swiss solar powered mantel clock by Montre Royale of Geneva. The clock has three triangular dials back to back in the form of a pyramid mounted on three legs above fourteen sided tapering structure, each facet containing a solar panel. This is all mounted on a turn table on a wooden circular base. The clock 14in tall overall. Apparently one of these clocks was given to each member of the first moon mission.

The gadrooned base has half finial below it and finials each side and the top of the case has a cresting with a line of half baluster columns flanked by two more finials, the 7in diam cream two piece enamel dial has Roman numerals and the seconds ring and the pendulum has a wooden rod. The movement has a deadbeat escapement and strikes on a gong and has two brass bound weights, clock 51in tall overall.

The undulating horizontal panels above and below the dial are cast with flowers and foliage and the 2in diam white enamel chapter ring has arabic numerals and is set within a matt gilt filigree mask mounted on a polished gilt plate. The two train barrelled spring movement has a silvered lever platform escapement and strikes on a gong and has an hour repeat button. An 18c eight day longcase clock, the 13in square associated brass dial signed Monks, Prescott and having scroll spandrels and a chequer board dial centre with seconds and date dials. The movement has ring pillars, rack striking and anchor escapement. It is contained in an oak and mahogany case with flat top hood with faux eglonise panel above the dial and fluted pillars with Corinthian capitals flanking it. The trunk has fluted quarter columns and the trunk door has a wavy top and mahogany crossbanding around its edges. The plain base has canted corners and a wavy plinth and the clock stands 81in tall.

It uses a compass needle to compare a magnetic field generated by the unknown current to the magnetic field of the earth. The instrument is cased in black enamel metal and comprises a compass with surrounding coil attached to terminals of varying resistance. The instrument sits on an adjustable tripod base and is 9.5in tall overall.
