A late 19c French garniture de cheminee comprising a clock and two urns. The clock is in a four glass case with curved glazed front door and has a green onyx top and base with blue ground champleve enamel decoration. This consists of horizontal bands above the base and below the top and flanking enamelled side columns between them. The white enamel dial has an enamel bezel and centre and the mercury pendulum has horizontal bands above and below the mercury tubes. The movement strikes the hour and halves on a gong. The flanking urns have green onyx bodies and bases and champleve enamel plates above the base and forming the lid of the urns. They have gilt cherub head handles and gilt stems. Clock stands 13.5" tall, urns each 13.5" tall.

A mid 19c English single fusee skeleton clock within scroll frames and having chain fusee drive and a semi deadbeat escapement. The fretted out dial is silvered with Roman numerals and the clock sits on an oval white marble base and has an oval (a/f) glass dome over, 15"tall overall.

A mid 18c English single fusee bracket clock by Thos. Martin of London in ebonised bell top case with acorn corner finials and gilt carrying handle. The arched brass dial has a silvered chapter ring and name boss in the arch, matted centre and scroll spandrels. The minute hand is detached but in the case. The verge movement has a well engraved back plate and has a pull repeat on two bells. The clock 21"tall (handle raised).

A 20c copy of a late 17c lantern clock by William Gray of London. The thirty hour movement has a verge escapement and is countwheel striking on a bell. The gilt brass case has a three dolphin frets below the bell and tulip engraved dial centre within the silvered chapter ring. The weight is missing. The clock 15"tall overall.

A late 19c French black slate mantel clock, the large case having three dials consisting of the clock, an aneroid barometer and a perpetual calendar. The clock has a deadbeat escapement and mercury pendulum and strikes on a bell (hammer missing) and has a black slate dial with gilt centre and numerals. There is a glazed aperture below it to see the pendulum. the left hand dial has a perpetual calendar indicating day and date of the week, month of the year and a moon phase dial. The right hand one is an aneroid barometer with copy hand. It is all contained in a large black slate case with green onyx insets. The main clock dial is 7"diam and the subsidiary dials, 5". The clock stands at 20"tall.

An early 20c English fusee dial clock by Thameside with flat 12" iron dial within a stained hardwood case with spun brass bezel. The single fusee movement is wire driven with flat strip anchor escapement and has Roman numerals and spade hands. The clock is 15.5"diam overall.

A late 18c French bracket clock case and dial, (no movement), the rococo case covered with boullework and mounted with gilt ormolu swags and mouldings. The glazed front door is framed in ormolu and has the classical figure of a female musician at its central base. The case interior is also decorated in boullework and this 9"diam gilt dial has white enamel numeral plaques with blue Roman numerals. the case is surmounted by a female figure (probably Diana the Huntress) and the case stands 37"tall. (For restoration).

An early 19c English chamber clock, the 5" arched dial signed Biggen London, and having floral spandrels and a matted centre. The original weight driven single handed movement has been replaced later by a two handed French carriage clock type movement with platform escapement with strikes on the original top bell. Feet have been added to convert it from a wall to a mantle clock and a wooden plinth constructed. The clock stands 9.5"h including base.

3An early 20c German three weight longcase clock, the eight day chain driven movement by Leuzkirch chiming Westminster, St Michael or Whittington chimes on eight straight rods and striking on four more. It has a 10.5" arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring and chime selector and female head spandrels and Roman numerals. It is mounted in a stained oak case with glazed trunk door and arched top hood and has a wood rod pendulum and brass bound weights. Its stands 74.5"tall.

An early 19c eight day longcase clock, the 13" arched painted dial signed Robert Walker, Beverley and having floral corners and a river scene in the arch. The dial has Roman numerals and brass hands. The standard eight day movement is rack striking on a bell, it is contained in a mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and barley sugar twist columns with Corinthian capitals flanking the dial. The long trunk door has scalloped top and a pointed oval inlay of contrasting mahogany to its centre. The door is flanked by twisted quarter columns and the base has a rectangle of contrasting mahogany with indented corners and Sheraton type bracket feet, (one Missing). The clock stands 83.5"tall.

An eight day longcase clock, the 12" arched brass dial Thos. Dicker, Reading and having scroll spandrels and a rocking angel in the arch. The five pillar movement has anchor escapement and rack striking and the weights are brass bound. It is contained in a light oak case with a pagoda top which has a sound fret. The hood has no columns but has canted front corners. the long trunk door is plain and rectangular as is teh base which has a skirting with a cut out twist lower edge. Clock stands 82"tall.

A late 19c hand held pocket inclinometer level by Elliott's of London to Captain Abney's design (registered 1884). The body is of oxidised brass which has a semi-circular silvered dial with 60 degree vernier scale and separate 1 inch 1 to 1 inch 10 scale. The vernier is attached to a bubble level and adjusting wheel. The height to be determined is sighted through the instrument and the bubble tube is tilted until the bubble viewed in the mirror in the sighting tube is level with the top of the sighted object. It has its original leather covered carrying case. 5"l.
