FIRST TIME BUYERS
Once you have obtained your buyer number you can bid on any lot in the sale. If you have never bid at auction before then it is advisable to watch the auctioneer for a few lots before your lot comes up so that you understand how the bidding progresses. Do not be afraid to be bold in your bid and join the bidding early on so the auctioneer can establish your interest. If you think the auctioneer has not seen you then call out for his attention. If he misses your bid then you miss your lot.
If you wish to bid in the sale but cannot attend the sale or do not wish to bid for yourself then we are happy to bid on your behalf with a pre-sale bid. Complete one of our pre-sale bid cards and leave it at the office in good time before commencement of the sale. It is advisable to double check the lot numbers and the descriptions you have written down so that you leave bids on the correct lots.
We will bid on your behalf as if you were in the saleroom, we will attempt to get you your lot for the lowest price possible.
